Hi Carolann:

We certainly find your song 'I remain' very compelling and one which a number of my peers can associate the loss of a parent, as they are all getting up there in age. We would certainly enjoy sharing more of your songs with our listeners. Please forward the full album 'So Long Abilene' for immediate airplay. You may wish to check out the website for The Ontario Council of Folk Festivals which last year sanctioned over 20 roots music festivals across the province and perhaps we will see you and Silverlake on stage in Canada real soon.

Cheers,

I´m a radio-dj here in Helsinki, Finland!
I picked up the news of your recent cd-release. I have checked the sample of your music on the Acoustic Rainbow vol 31 sampler-cd. The cd sounds great, perfect for the kind of (eclectic) music we feature on our show Folk & Roots!
We would welcome a copy and would be more than happy to be able to give it spins!

Carolann,

Thank you, I could hardly make it past the instrumental notes which you played so beautifully. Then when you started singing my eyes simply swelled with tears and I had to stop listening. Gray was one of the colors of my sister's home. She was an interior designer. I thank you for sharing such a heart rending song.
I have said when the the time comes, and I can find the strength past the pain of that void in my life ... I will write a song of my own called "2 Sisters" The chorus would be along the lines of:
"One who had to learn how to die, leaving behind the one who had to .. learn how to live"

...some days are better than others, today is a rough one. Breast Cancer at 52, and this year I turn 52, so it is truly a remorseful time for me. She'd be so upset to know I am still so troubled by her absence. and when I can find another day when things are not so close to the heart like today, I promise to listen to "I Remain" all the way though and I hope not to weep uncontrollably.

Your kind words and this gentle gesture to reach out is the brightest thing I know of today. I thank you from the depths of my being, and although we are but strangers I somehow know a bit of closeness with you because of it.
I am so sorry for the sudden loss of your father. We are all so ill prepared for the day a loved one departs, whether it be sudden or expected... their living breathing days among our lives become so much more than precious memories.

I will download your song and I promise to make it through it with out tears, 'cause it's gonna be hard... but I just can't do it today. I know it is a beautiful tribute, it came from the heart.
Thank you ever so kindly,
Joyce-Marie!
